Anchor Engineering Designs Bridge for Town
of Litchfield
Anchor Engineering has been
retained by the Town of Litchfield to prepare construction
documents and perform construction inspection for a the replacement
of the Woodruff Street bridge superstructure. The project
include substructure widening to accommodate a widened deck for an
improved turning radius. All design work for this
project has been completed and a construction contract has been awarded.
Construction is expected to begin in mid-June 2010 and
be completed by mid-August 2010. For additional project

Anchor Engineering Recognized by Town of
Lebanon
Anchor Engineering was recognized by the Town of Lebanon Town Planner
and Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman for providing quality
services to the Town. A copy of the

Anchor Engineering Performs Work at
Millstone Nuclear Power Station
Anchor Engineering has teamed
with Kleinschmidt Associates to perform an Ecolocgial Impact Study at the Millstone
Nuclear Power Station in Waterford, CT. This two-year
study will monitor baseline impingement and the presence of any rare,
threatened, or endangered species at the facility's cooling
water intake structures. The results of the study
will be utilized to design controls for the purpose
of limiting impingement mortality.
Fifth Anchor Designed Bridge Makes State Manual Cover
A
fifth bridge designed by Anchor Engineering recently made the cover
of the CT
DOT Local Bridge Program Manual. The cover for the 2010
CT DOT Local Bridge Program Manual
features Bridge No. 04026 on Hillhouse Avenue over the
historic Farmington Canal Heritage Greenway on the campus of
Yale University in New Haven, CT. This project was funded by the
Federal Local bridge Program, Yale University and the City of New Haven.
Anchor Engineering provided land surveying, roadway design, vehicular bridge design, local regulatory
agency assistance, construction administration and full time inspection services
for this project. Construction is currently ongoing. See
