Anchor Engineering Celebrates 15th Anniversary
2008 marks Anchor Engineering's 15th year in business. Anchor Engineering Services has grown from a staff of four in 1993 to over 30 persons today, including four working owners, three associates and a dedicated staff of field and office personnel.
Anchor Designed Apartment Complex Construction Nears Completion
Construction on the Vintage at the Grove apartment complex in Manchester, CT is nearing completion. This development includes a total of 322 apartments in 13 residential buildings and is located in the Buckland Hills area. Anchor's role on this project has included survey, site design, local & state permitting as well as construction phase engineering and land surveying support.
Anchor Designed Pedestrian Bridges Project Construction Begins
Construction of three bridges on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, CT has begun. The project, being performed for the City of New Haven, is located along Hillhouse Avenue. Anchor's role on this project has included survey, structural design of the vehicular bridge, roadway design, local & state permitting, contract document preparation and full time construction inspection.
Fourth Anchor Designed Bridge Makes State Manual Cover
A
fourth bridge designed by Anchor Engineering recently made the cover
of the CT
DOT Local Bridge Program Manual. The cover for the 2009
CT DOT Local Bridge Program Manual features Bridge No. 03933 on Bolton Road over
the Tankerhoosen River in Vernon, CT. This project was funded by the State Local
Bridge Program and the Town
of Vernon. Construction was completed in October 2007. Three of our other context-sensitive bridge design projects have made the cover of past CT DOT Local Bridge Program Manuals in 1999 (Sand Hill Road Bridge, Hampton, CT), 2003 (Old Kings Highway Bridge, Hampton, CT) and 2007 (Village Hill Road Bridge, Columbia, CT).
